Back again.

I seem to be traveling a lot. I don't think I've been in Salem for more than two weeks straight. I've gone to Tacoma twice, to Portland a bunch of times, to Colorado. When do I work? I don't think I know.... but I know I do.

Colorado was terrific. The conference was good, although I spent the first two days wondering where God had gone. It's weird to be at a God-centered conference feeling, for no real reason, out of sync with God. Sometimes you feel God and sometimes you don't, and that's okay. But at this conference, with everyone getting all hyped up and mega spiritual, it felt weird.

After the conference I went to Colorado Springs to visit my brother, sister-in-law and my two nieces. They live in a cute, quirky town at the bottom of Pikes Peak. Both my nieces had grown so much! Kiera, who is two, spoke very intelligibly and explained how she had a "melt down" on the plane the week before (which had involved a lot of screaming and crying, much to the dismay of the other first class passengers). Teething made Kalista, who is six months, fussy and annoyed the first day, but now she has two little bottom teeth to show off. She's so cute!
