Weirdly busy.
Last weekend was my high school 10 YEAR REUNION!! Wow, I feel so dang old. There's a lot I could talk about regarding the people there, the conversations we had and the fact that I hardly slept for five days straight. It was a blast, though. A completely awesome experience. I went to high school in Japan, the same school from 3rd grade until I graduated. I didn't just go to school with these people, they were my family, my community, my best friends. We've been out of touch these last 10 years but seeing them again was like no time has passed at all (except the girls all got prettier and the guys all got married... oh, and a few people had kids, weird).
I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow, to spend about two weeks there at a beach cabin before heading off to Korea to get my stuff. It's going to be quite a trip, one I'm not really looking forward to. Traveling doesn't excite me like it used to. I pretty much consider it a necessary evil. I want to be there but I really don't want to get there. But due to philosophy #1, I shall not be pessimistic about it but look forward to all the good things that will transpire on the trip (there's bound to be a few, right?). Yay for traveling!
