It's raining outside. I need to take a jog but I'll get soaked. I'm coming to remember this way of life. Winter is coming to the Northwest and that means a life where rain is the back drop of everyday life. Oh joy.

Well, I'm glad to say that I'm really, really excited now about my decision to join YWAM. God has really confirmed that it's the right thing to do. Yipee! I'm also really excited to do a DTS (discipleship training school). It'll be five months or so. For three months I'll be in Salem, Oregon and the other two months I'll be on a mission trip somewhere. I've felt so isolated the past year. I have a feeling this will be really good for me.

In other news, my grandpa's plane broke while he was flying around with my grandma. He has a little two-seater Cessna and his engine sized. The good news is he was able to find a field to land in. If he hadn't found that field the story might have ended differently. That's two out of the three pilots in my family who have made emergency landings. A few years ago, while flying for some random commercial company, my older brother's plane kept stalling and he was forced to land in an onion field. Everything was great until his front wheel caught on a huge pile of rotting onions and made his plane flip. He got scraped up, but nothing serious.

The only person left is my uncle who flies 777's for United Airlines. I hope he doesn't have to make an emergency landing any time soon....
