Week three has begun!

Time is flying by. Just yesterday I caught myself feeling really happy about where I am. When I compared my life here (with good things to learn, a community of like-minded people, awesome leaders and a sense of purpose) to what life was like before (struggling in my efforts to raise money, trying to keep my eyes focused on God, feeling alone and dissatisfied with life) I can't help but feel overjoyed. It's like God has decided to give me a vacation from life and teach me what life is supposed to be about.

My leaders the other day were talking about how much we gave up to join this program; some people gave up jobs, schools, plans for this or that. But for me, doing this isn't giving up anything at all. Who would say, "wow you've given up a lot to take this trip to Hawaii," or "bummer that you have to spend this time playing on the beach." I love what I'm learning. I love that I have a goal. I love that there are people around me who care about me. I love that I can invest all my time in getting to know God better. What a vacation!
