I'm not doing very well on blogging consistency at the moment. It's never my intention to go for a whole week without saying anything. I need to especially apologize to my brother Ryan who reads my blog like the morning newspaper and gets depressed six days out of seven because it's never updated.
As usual, my past week passed in a blur of activity but this week was more exciting than most. Like I said last week, my family came to visit and we had a great time. Mom and Brent figured out how to use the bus system on Monday and took themselves downtown while dad recuperated from his hectic life and read magazines at home. Brent came to school with me on Tuesday and every girl in the whole school fell in love with him. I was haunted the whole rest of the week by girls asking me where Brent was and why he hadn't come to school with me. On Wednesday, mom and dad came to chapel with me and witnessed my praise team, a personal testimony from student who had recently received the gift of tongues, a hilarious skit put on by a homeroom team and a message from our chaplain. Thursday on my part was spent working while mom, dad and Brent investigated some ancient tombs in nearby city. I took work off on Friday and we drove cross-country to see a very impressive limestone cave after which we had a birthday celebration for Dad and I. The visit ended early Saturday morning with a sad, sleepy airport farewell.
I'm glad they came, it has been a very good week. I like showing my life to people but I always worry that they will find it boring and mundane. But I'm pretty sure they had a good time. Now all I have to do is get two more of my brothers out here and my whole family would have visited over the course of three years!
